seoul, korea. 'YIBD block C1-20' is a mixed-use building situated at the very center of the sector, mediating between the 'retail valley'
and the surrounding office buildings. set as an urban anchor for the area, it will demarcate a path from the han river to yongsan station
through its adjacent public spaces.

the structure has a gross area of 58 400 m2, stands 165 meters in height, with 25 floors that combine spaces for learning, creating and communicating.

Russia chides ally Syria over massacre of 108

BEIRUT (AP) ? A weekend massacre of more than 100 people emerged as a potential turning point in the Syrian crisis Monday, galvanizing even staunch ally Russia to take an unusually hard line against President Bashar Assad's regime.

Analysts say Russia may be warning Syrian President Bashar Assad that he needs to change course or lose Moscow's support, which has been a key layer of protection for the regime in Damascus over the course of the uprising, which began in March 2011.

Russia has grown increasingly critical of the Syrian regime in recent months, but Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's latest comments were unusually strong. Although he said opposition forces have terrorists among them, he put the blame for 15 months of carnage primarily on Assad's government.

"The government bears the main responsibility for what is going on," Lavrov said in Moscow following a meeting with British Foreign Secretary William Hague. "Any government in any country bears responsibility for the security of its citizens."

Alexei Malashenko, a Middle East expert with the Carnegie Moscow Center, said Lavrov's comments suggest Russia may be backing away from its long-standing support for Damascus.

"Bashar Assad is driving himself and Russia into a corner," Malashenko said. "Bashar has definitely gotten the sense that he may lose Russia's sympathy and he may step back a bit."

It is not clear whether Assad's forces were exclusively to blame for the slaughter of 108 people Friday in Houla, a collection of poor farming villages in Homs province. The U.N. said 49 children and 34 women were among the dead; some had bullet holes through their heads.

The U.N. Security Council blamed Syrian forces for artillery and tank shelling of residential areas, but it did not clearly state who was responsible for the close-range shooting deaths and "severe physical abuse" of civilians.

Activists from the area say the army pounded the villages with artillery and clashed with local rebels. They said pro-regime gunmen later stormed the area, doing the bulk of the killing by gunning down men in the streets and stabbing women and children in their homes.

The Syrian government rejected that narrative entirely, saying soldiers were attacked in their bases and fought back in self-defense, but did not leave their bases.

Russia blamed both the regime and the rebels for the Houla massacre.

"Both sides have obviously had a hand in the deaths of innocent people, including several dozen women and children," Lavrov said. "This area is controlled by the rebels, but it is also surrounded by the government troops."

He said Russia has no interest in propping up Assad's regime, but wants Syria to guide its own transition under a plan brokered by special envoy Kofi Annan.

"We don't support the Syrian government, we support Kofi Annan's plan," Lavrov said.

Moscow's pro-Syria stance has been motivated in part by its strategic and defense ties, including weapons sales, with Damascus. Russia also rejects what it sees as a world order dominated by the U.S.

But as the country spirals toward chaos, Russia could scale back that support.

Losing Russian support could be disastrous for Assad because his crackdown has left him almost completely isolated internationally. Russia and China have stood by him so far, using their veto power in the past to block U.N. resolutions against him.

Hilal Khashan, a political science professor at the American University of Beirut, said the Houla massacre appears to be ushering in a change in Russia's position.

"There is a shift and the momentum against the regime is gathering," Khashan said. "The momentum is building and the Russians are not blocking the rising momentum."

The Syrian conflict is among the most explosive of the Arab Spring, in part because of Syria's allegiances to powerful forces including Lebanon's Hezbollah and Shiite powerhouse Iran.

Activists say as many as 12,000 people have been killed since the uprising began in March 2011. The U.N. put the toll as of March, a year into the uprising, at 9,000 but the count is out of date as many hundreds more have died since.

It is virtually impossible to independently verify the death toll in Syria.

Annan's peace plan, which calls for a cease-fire and dialogue, has been faltering for weeks, but many analysts see it as a way to unify the international community behind a single proposal.

Western leaders have pinned their hopes on Annan's diplomatic pressure, with the U.S. and others unwilling to get deeply involved in another Arab nation in turmoil.

Annan arrived in Damascus Monday for talks with Assad and other officials and called on "every individual with a gun" in Syria to lay down arms, saying he was horrified by the Houla massacre.

"This message of peace is not only for the government, but for everyone with a gun."

Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron and French President Francois Holland spoke on the phone and expressed their desire to work with Russia to resolve the crisis in Syria. A spokeswoman for Downing Street said Cameron and Hollande agreed to act together to "bring an end to the bloody suppression of the Syrian people."

Syria has brushed off nearly all international pressure since the uprising against Assad's regime erupted. Activists reported fresh violence Monday, saying troops shelled several neighborhoods in Hama, killing at least 24 people.

Assad denies that he is fighting a popular uprising, saying terrorists and armed gangs are driving the unrest. His supporters point to a string of suicide attacks to support their claims that foreign terrorists ? not reform-seekers ? are behind the violence.

There are widespread fears that al-Qaida and other extremists may be joining the fray in Syria and exploiting the chaos there, but the opposition and the rebel force in Syria say they have nothing to do with any terrorist attacks.

Syria's uprising began with mostly peaceful calls for change in one of the most repressive regimes in the Middle East. But as the government cracked down on opponents with increasingly deadly force, many protesters began taking up arms.

The conflict has grown dangerously militarized. Rebel fighters say they are targeting soldiers and military installations to chip away at the regime's power and protect civilians. Now the international community has nearly run out of options for halting the slide toward civil war.

3 (Almost) Effortless Ways to Recruit New Church Members with Social Media

With almost everyone and their pet rock on Facebook, Twitter, and other social sites, places of worship have a huge pool of potential new members that they are largely ignoring. It is easy to understand why most churches don?t effectively market themselves on social media.

One reason is that some churches object to the idea of ?marketing? themselves, even though the story of Christ is the most successful viral marketing campaign since time began; Jesus literally split time (B.C./A.D.) after all.

But the main issue churches face by putting themselves out there on social media is time. Someone has to take the time to actually do it. And with budgets already extremely tight, the social media duties usually fall on an unpaid volunteer who normally has other commitments with the church, family, and/or the larger community. But you don?t have to hire a full-time social media specialist to have an impact. Here are some ways you can almost effortlessly market your church.

1. Have your congregation promote the church for you.

A preacher, pastor, or priest has his or her most captive audience on Sunday mornings. One way to get this captive audience to reach out on social media for you is to work a Facebook or Twitter status update into your sermon. At the church I attend, the pastor recently gave a sermon and used social buzzwords which he related to a biblical principle. Your church could do something very similar and actually have all the members of your congregation get out their smartphones and post a biblical status update.

2. Create a Facebook page for your church and get members of the congregation to ?Like? it.

There are four key things here. First, you have to create your church?s Facebook page. This is actually really easy to do, just go to this URL to get started:?http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php. It?s very easy to do with these step by step instructions.

Second, you have to let your congregation know about the page, so they will ?like it You can have it announced during Sunday services and ask your church volunteers to inform all of their Facebook friends.

Finally, you have to put a ?Like Box? on your website so that visitors will be shown the faces of people they know that currently ?Like? your church. The way the ?Like Box? works is that when someone visits your church?s website, they?ll be shown the names and faces of people they know. When they see some of their friends that like your church, they?ll know someone they can talk to about your church if they are considering making a visit.

3. Use Facebook to invite people to events.

Facebook has become the ultimate ?meeting? place for like-minded people and friends alike. Facebook enables you to invite all of your friends to an event and set an event time, place, and other event details. The user has the option to select if they are attending, if they might attend, or if they are not attending. This allows the creator of the event to track, communicate, update, and inform invitees on the published event.

In Conclusion

Social media doesn?t have to be hard or cumbersome to take advantage of. Besides your time, it doesn?t cost anything to use in order to reach current or potential members. Even if you don?t want to implement all of these suggestions, take one or two and run with it. I think you?ll notice more people buzzing about your church. The more buzz you get, the more potential members you are reaching.

Understanding Bird Mites

Even if bird mites normally infest the birds, we must not underestimate the danger it can bring to people. If left untreated, it can cause allergic reactions to grave respiratory problem. The allergy can be simple or grave depending on the reaction of the infested person.

What are Bird Mites?

These are not usually seen by the naked eyes. But it can grow up to 2mm in length. It has four legs but it has no antennae. Normally it is transparent in nature. It adapts the color of the blood though when it starts feeding. It is parasitic thus the more blood sucked, the higher the risk of multiplication.

Bird mites usually live in birds and in their nests. Expect it to infest your house too if the nests are near the windows or blocks or if the birds can freely enter your home. They are active during spring and early summer. Once they have collected ample amount of blood from the birds, they can last up to 3 weeks before they search for another host. They can create a very huge population through rapid multiplication. Their life cycle is between 7-10 days.

Signs of Bird Mites Infestation in Humans

When these infest humans, the first reaction would be itching. There is also a heated sensation on the affected area. Since there is itchiness, prolonged scratching will result to skin lesions. Taking a warm bath can alleviate itching. Use loofah and Epsom salt when taking the warm batch. Use vinegar and water when shampooing your hair. Dry your hair and body with clean towel made of cotton. Before you wear your clothes, apply a deodorant with Aluminum Chlorohydrate. You can also spray this to your clothes. This ingredient will not only kill them but will also act as repellant to prevent these mites from coming back.

If the person has low immune system, the allergic reaction may worsen. Sever sneezing, wheezing, nausea, vomiting, and shortness of breath. If this happens, there is no other thing to do but to seek medical help.

What to Do During Infestation

First thing to do is to determine the source. If you suspect that they have entered your house, you can spray pesticide yourself or seek a pest control service if the infestation is widespread already. When they are not active, they position themselves in group in dark areas like couches, cabinets, and other corners. They can also be reddish black especially if they just finished sucking blood from a host.

If the infestation is in your birds nests, its better to change to a new one. Remember to dispose the old nest properly as there is a huge possibility of transferring the mites to other spaces.

Prevention is still the Best Cure

Regular cleaning of your home will eliminate the occurrence of these mites. They love clinging to dark places or to where humans usually stay. Disinfect the mite prone areas regularly. Make sure that even corners are well lighted. If you clean the inside, don't forget the outside too. If you have birds at home, do your regular cleaning. Replace nests regularly. Dispose all wastes properly.

Crystal Bell: 'Girls' Recap: That One Time In Bushwick

Note: Do not read on if you have not seen Season 1, Episode 7 of HBO's "Girls," entitled, "Welcome to Bushwick a.k.a. The Crackcident."

Excuse me if what I'm about to say sounds vaguely familiar, but oh, shit, fuck, are we supposed to like Adam now?

You see there are two sides to every story, and it looks like up until this week's episode, we'd only been getting the "Adam is a total douchebag" story from Hannah's perspective. However, Lena Dunham managed to find a way for us to sympathize (ever so slightly) with the shirtless potential sociopath. He's just misunderstood! Why, you ask? Because Hannah never took the time to understand him. So what better time than a warehouse party in Bushwick?

"That's Adam. I've never seen him outside his house. I've never seen him with his shirt on."

For the first time in the series, we finally get a glimpse of Adam outside of his natural habitat, and guess what? He likes to read books, he has friends, and he even owns a few shirts! I know this is a lot to take in, but the truth is, Adam doesn't look nearly as douchey with clothing on the upper-half of his body.

Not to mention that he has friends, really good friends, who like to be in his company because he's fun(.) Despite calling Adam her boyfriend and wanting him to commit to a relationship he never mentally signed on for, Hannah doesn't really know anything about Adam. For example, he's a recovering alcoholic. "It's been a part of my life since I was 17," he tells Hannah.

Hannah's inability to talk about anything but her own problem stems from her personality. She's selfish -- completely and terribly selfish -- but that's OK because everyone has "that one friend who only talks about herself."

Every time she went to Adam's, she only wanted to talk about what terrible thing was happening in her life: "Oh, I was fired from my unpaid internship," "Oh. my life is so hard and I don't have any money" and "Oh, I just came over for sex."

Adam had a good point: "I'm not going to fucking talk your ear off about shit you don't ask about." (Are you taking notes Hannah?)

Naturally, she was surprised to see that Adam actually had a life outside of her and her issues. I'm not saying that Adam is perfect. No, not at all. He's still a major sex-addicted douchebag, but at least now we know that there's more to Adam than shirtless bicycle kicks and shameless masturbation.

When Hannah was in Michigan, she started to soften toward Adam, and after one wild Bushwick rager, it looks like these two are finally BF/GF. I'm not quite sure if they're Facebook official, but Hannah seems like the type of person who would immediately change her status so that all of her former Oberlin friends would know for a fact that she wasn't a lesbian. And I'm pretty sure Adam doesn't even have a Facebook.

Hannah and Adam may finally be official, but Marnie is more miserable than ever. You see, poor, sweet Charlie has moved on, and his new girlfriend is the complete antithesis of Marnie.

Upset that her ex-boyfriend (who she totally broke up with, by the way) moved on so quickly, she finds comfort in Elijah, Hannah's ex-boyfriend who is now totally gay. Marnie then proceeds to dump all of her problems on Elijah, who looks as miserable as Mr. Horvath after throwing out his back and falling naked out of his shower.

Marnie says things like, "Hannah always does this; She's so selfish; She's always been this way," and then she makes fun of Hannah's appearance because you know, that's just what BFFs do. Luckily, Elijah speaks the word of God and calls Marnie out for being the pot calling the kettle black. Marnie is just as selfish as Hannah. She attacked Elijah and dragged him away from a party so that she could tell him about her horrible life and her horrible ex-boyfriend and her horrible best friend.

I'm not saying that Hannah and Marnie aren't good friends, but nothing in this series has convinced me that these two are best friends. OK, they did dance to Robyn, but I'm pretty sure that when Robyn comes on, you can dance with anyone, even a total stranger, and it will look like you're BFFs.

I just want Hannah and Marnie to have a real conversation about anything. The "totem of chat" conversation was a good start, but we've never actually seem them talk on a deeper level. I do have to give Marnie credit: She did come to Hannah's rescue when she was stuck with Adam in the wasteland that is Bushwick.

However, now that Hannah and Adam are officially GF/BF (against Marnie's advice), Hannah and Marnie's relationship is only going to get more strained. There's nothing worse than having a best friend in the honeymoon stage when you just broke up with your boyfriend.

Sweat pants and cupcakes are definitely in Marnie's future.

Meanwhile, Jessa -- who showed up at this Bushwick warehouse party looking like David Bowie in "Labyrinth" -- gets a mysterious text message from someone asking what she was doing. Jessa, being Jessa and not a rational human being, texts the stranger back, telling this person to meet her at the party in Bushwick.

Turns out that this stranger was actually her boss -- her married boss Jeff.

He must really be going through a mid-life crisis because what person brings a bottle of wine to a Brooklyn warehouse party? Molly, sure, but wine? These crazy kids don't want wine! They only drink Pabst Blue Ribbon anyway.

Things have always been slightly awkward between Jessa and Jeff, so I wasn't surprised when he tried to kiss Jessa in the hospital after getting the crap beat out of him by two annoying hipsters. He wanted to get it on, but thankfully, Jessa said no.

Here's why I love Jessa: She's genuinely sexy, funny and rather precocious. It's easy to write her off, but unlike Marnie and Hannah, she's actually starting to show some growth. In "Hard Being Easy", she had sex with her ex-boyfriend (the one with terrible sideburns) simply to prove that she could. She said that she was "unsmoteable."

However, now she's starting to realize that her carefree ways have consequences -- like destroying a marriage and breaking up a family. Think of Bella and Beatrix, Jessa! Of course, Jeff gets mad and calls her a tease (after crying on her shoulder). Maybe she is a tease -- an "unsmoteable" tease -- but she did the right thing.

While everyone else is dealing with relationship issues, Shoshanna is running around Bushwick high on crack. Yes, crack. Poor innocent Shoshanna thought she was taking a hit of weed, but she actually took a hit from a crack pipe.

"I smoked some pot in line for the bathroom, which is so dirty, do NOT go in there unless it's an EMERGE."

Zosia Mamet is a genius. Shoshanna could have easily been a one-dimensional caricature, but Mamet delivers a hysterical, genuine performance. Unlike every other character, at least Shoshanna is likable. How could you not love her for saying things like, "Oh my god! Don't tell my mom!" Honestly, I wouldn't want my mom to know I smoked crack either. It's not very becoming of a young lady.

While Shoshanna runs and screams through the streets of Bushwick, it's Ray's responsibility to chase after her because Jessa was too preoccupied with Jeff. (It was an EMERGE!) Hey, at least Ray got a groin massage out of it! Surprisingly, that was the only slightly sexual thing to happen at this Bushwick party, making this the first episode of "Girls" without awkward, disheartening, sad, and/or geriatric sex!

Oh Bushwick, you're full of so many adventures.

"Girls" airs Sundays at 10:30 p.m. ET on HBO.
